Waiting took less than a month (probably because I submitted the application late). Submitted application on 4/18 and received unconditional offer of admission on 5/8 via email. Checked website on the same day and saw that the status was updated to 'admitted'. Was told to wait for the offer booklet that was sent on 5/3 for further instructions. **Background: from criminal justice undergrad in NY, two internship experiences (research assistant & NGO), strong GPA & SOP (already have a pretty concrete research topic in mind & took more than 3 months to prepare for SOP) | ||||

Applied 22 December 2017, got results nearly 4 months later. Doesn't look like the process is done by rolling admission, so don't feel too rushed to apply early if you are intending to next year. The e-mail says the acceptance rate was 10%. Good luck to the next batch of applicants! | ||||

@ the PhD Statistics person - just FYI my offer came maybe three or so weeks ago and when I asked about funding, they told me that I have to wait until before Easter for news (and I'm still waiting) - from what I've gathered by browsing a little bit through forums, you either eventually get an e-mail from the financial office notifying you that you've received funding or you just don't - nothing should change immediately on LSE for You if you get a studentship (as far as I know). So, I guess we're all still waiting. Good luck! | ||||
