To the post below, the POI who contacted me has a traditionally feminine name (I also thought it was female prof) but you can see his profile on Penn website. Are you sure the POI was not male?

To poster below, yes from McKay center, but it is a woman POI, so must be someone different.

Asked by POI not mentioned about Skype interview as well. I have a feeling he has been contacting the POSTS below me as well. To the post below, is your interview for McKay Center POI?

To the poster below, had my skype today. POI informed me that they send out the applications to all the faculty to look at and skype if they like the app. After the skype, if they like you and you seem enthusiastic about their lab, the POI will talk to the department and recommend you for an in-person interview/visit.

Biomedical Engineering and Biochemistry double-major at a top 20 public university. 3 years of relevant research experience in BME. 2 second authored publications, 2 co-authored publications in prep, Amgen Scholar, multiple presentations at national conferences.

Same situation as the post below...quite surprised. Any idea how that happened?

In reply to the poster, I applied through the BME home school. But I received the email from the director of the BioE program (not the BME program). I also emails of interest from both BME and ChBE professors at GT.
