E-mail from Ed Skoog.

They are still waiting on funding information but let me know I was accepted to the program and high on their list! 4a/1w/1r/5p

Got notified with a phone call from David Bell! 3a/1w/1r/7p

It's been a rough first-round of applications for me, so getting waitlisted feels like a win. Nice to have some positive feedback after weeks of rejection. 0a/1w/4r/1p

After a phone conversation with Terry the previous day, he sent official notification of acceptance by email. Funding information on its way. So excited! 2a/0w/0r

I called the NYU creative writing office yesterday to see if they are still sending out acceptance notifications or if I should infer from their silence a...rejection. They were so sweet and said notifications will still be going out into next week. Maybe they just say that regardless, but a glimmer of hope nonetheless.

Received a call from Paige Ackerson-Kiely, the associate directer of the program, informing me of my admission with news of an email to follow which would include funding information. It's funny how you can only enjoy acceptances for a brief moment, when you're still waiting to hear from your top programs. The anticipation always wins. Good luck to everyone out there trying. Its hard work. 2a, 3r, 5p and no WL.

received phone call from Robert Pinsky this afternoon & was told a formal offer letter would be forthcoming later!

Just got a call from D.A. Powell. Happy to hear the good news! 3a/1w/1r/3p

I know the waitlist is extremely short for poets this year. If anyone is planning on going to a different school, it would certainly help to notify the school ASAP.

Received better offers elsewhere so taking myself off the waitlist.
