MMath (thesis)

Got a reject today, Randomly checked Quest to find my status as "Deny".Profile : One of India's best college, 9.18 CGPA, 3 months internship experiance in MNCs on IOT and Deep Learning, Good amount of projects and hackathons, Public Speaker.... Currently in my final semester for Btech CS. Thanks Covid for this.

An international student at a west Canadian university. Applied MMath thesis option, and interviewed by the POI twice. The first is the behaviour interview, which lasts for an hour (basically the POI talked for 45 mins and I talked for 15 mins...). The second is a technical interview; I present the papers that I co-authored, and the POI asked a bunch of problems, which last for three hours... and was told (and emailed) by the POI that he will accept me. The official offer will take one week to be available. I will accept the offer since the POI and UWaterloo are my top choice! Also admitted by a Ph.D. program in the states, but I am worried about the strict and unclear immigration policy, so I would rather not risk it, thus will decline.

I think the interview went well. Surprise there are interviews for Master program. Based on previous results it seems not many need to go through this process. Anyhow, hope for the best!

TTPB: Received the same email. Had an interview back in November. Not sure about what this means too. But I guess either an offer will come soon or they want to find out whether you will accept the offer before they give one. I'm trying to contact them about what's going on.

I received an invite for Grad Visit Day from the University. RSVP by 24 Feb. Anyone else in the same boat? It sounds like an orientation session for new admits, but Quest applicant portal does not show any update to the application. What does this mean? NOTE: My decision status is not "wait listed" - there was not an appropriate option for me to select while asking this question.

Contacted by future supervisor. 2/3 so far!

Is there any interview process for MMath Computer Science Coursework, If yes what do they ask in Interview?

Thesis-based MMATH in CS. No interview. Status on quest changed on 20th and received the email a few days after.

Canadian. MMATH coursework. Non-traditional background: chemical engineering undergrad at Waterloo, 89/100. Really hoped to get in, but good luck to everyone else!

Shall I still wait for results. Portal says "under review".
