Accepted a week after personal interview, two weeks after academic interview (didn't go as well), three weeks after application submission.

Despite Kaust’s outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Administrative interview on Monday. Are applicants informed of rejections by email, or through POI?

KAUST has strange admission process. My personal didn't go as well as I expected and I was rejected. Even the professor did his best in order to help me to join his research team. The decision of professors is what you need in American universities. Maybe KAUST admission thinks they are better than MIT or other leading universities.

To everyone: don't lose hope To the post bellow sorry but you are wrong It took me 5 months since submitting and 2 months since the KAUST management interview and I have an acceptance from a great professor I always got ( still under review ) answer from the admission and that didn't mean I was rejected Finally I got the acceptance yesterday Wishing everyone all the best

You can email to the admission office to know your current status. If admission office sends you a default mail as "your application is currently under review and will be notified as soon as possible" - either your result is in the process or puts on hold. Usually, takes about two weeks time, but i have received the response within 5 days. As long as Professor is interested he will intimate the admission to process fast.

Accepted the offer of Admission for PhD in Plant science. The one who posted previously joined as VSRP. People who are wondering what is the status of the application and why is the late? Simple Answer, if Professor wants you will get the short in and if you don't have support from the professor which will take longer time than usual. Since the admission team working with lots of student and interviews, there is numerous department involved in the selection process. so basically takes time and also supervisor should be available to accept your offer. Although, the interviewers inform you the dates for the results if they prolong more than that, which means you are no longer accepted or put on hold.
