Research>GPA!

Geoscience applicant, professor reached out about engineering project, admitted to engineering program.

Received email from the Graduate Field of Geological Sciences at Cornell University and notified was not selected for admission. Kind of expected to receive rejection due to lack of interview. Oh well. It was a reach anyways.

1.5 years of research experience, conference presentation, lots of field experience

Ahhhhhhh so excited!!

Interviewed on Feb. 9, no GRE, master's GPA: 3.9

Figured this was coming as I had no response from PI. Already accepted offer elsewhere 2a/2r/1p

Received an email from a professor of interest asking to have an interview.

Funded by TA for first year. Notified by PI before email from graduate school came. I think I will be going here!!!

Met with PI prior multiple times. Partially funded. 6-month research internship and strong LOR's contributed greatly.

My dream school! full-ride funding. did not submit GRE though. attend the 7-8 February Virtual Visit and several e-mail correspondences with the PoI up until the e-mail notification.

IGNORE WAITLISTED. Anyone heard from Oregon State University, University of Montana, University of Idaho, Virginia Tech, University of Connecticut, SUNY Binghamton or University of Florida? I still havent got rejections or acceptance by any one them, it is frustrating... I'm applying for Ph.D in Geological Sciences.
