MA/AC email notification of status update

Any updates from them including other steinhardt majors? The website said mid- to late March, and we're already in the middle of the month.

Emailed to check portal. I honestly think this “tradition” of rejecting people and recommending them to their bioethics MA program regardless of interests and fit or even the fact that I have had an MA program at another institution is very annoying and disrespectful. Whatever.

Ignore the status, Has anyone heard of NYU? It's very late.

recevied email saying politely application is competitive.

Oh no I was quite optimistic about this one. Contact with a professor before and her response was quite positive. So sad????

Ignore Status. Has anyone heard back from NYU Shanghai Track?

They sent an email that I think means I was waitlisted but not to expect an offer. “Although the committee was positively impressed by your application, at this point I do not anticipate that we will be able to make you an offer. I'm providing you with this information so that you can make the best plans for yourself going forward. If you like, I can keep your application active, just in case a space opens up. However, a late opening is not something you should count on.”
