I received admit for MS-Thesis via email. Deadline to reply by Apr 30. No funding though.

Expected. No scholarship offered. Gonna reject.

I know an applicant that had an interview and then got admission but my application status is still "The initial phase of the admission process has been completed. Your application is now pending review by the program/plan of study admissions committee. Please be patient; you will be contacted by the program/plan of study directly when a decision has been made."

Has anyone received any result from Penn state? There are not enough information about PSU. Please share your status.

I wrote to the school of EECS asking about the applications, the response was that they should start rolling in March

Had interview with two professors in Programming Languages and Theory.

Even though I finished my application in December and everything looked ok at the app portal, I just got this email: All documents have been uploaded and your application is complete. You will receive notification via email regarding your status once the faculty have made decisions for offer of admission. Anyone else got this?

I am sorry to inform you that the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Penn State University was not able to accept you for admission to our graduate program. Due to the large number of applicants who entered our program in the last two years, we were restricted in the number of applicants we could accept for the current academic year. We are limited by both faculty and monetary resources. We can admit only a fraction of the many qualified applicants. Since our decisions were based on faculty specific research needs and due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide additional feedback on individual applications.
