I was expecting something like this because I was not called for an interview. After all, Professors did not reply to my emails because I could not spend so much time digging up their work as I have a job.

Since the number of students who can be accepted is limited and the overall quality of applicants is very high, it is not possible to accept many excellent students who are interested in coming to Cornell. Was rejected despite having authored 5 Journals, 6+ years of teaching experience, and research awards (national and international).

Two first-author top CV conference publications including one oral. Interviewed with POI in Jan. Still rejected.

Got a standard rejection today. Expected. 6 publications with 4 on top NLP venues. Idk why there is a rejection on my application though.
