TTPB: May I please know what's your area of interest and when did you apply?

TTPB: I applied in hep-th for Physics PhD at McGill (I'm not one of the Master's posters below). Haven't received anything response yet. Application portal says "Application currently under review by Department". Contacted POI in October who encouraged me to apply then.

To people admitted to McGill uni physics masters, did you guys apply for PhD? Anyone in high energy theory?

To people who were admitted to McGill. Did you guys apply for a PhD? Anyone in high energy theory?

Got the notification of acceptance from the department.

TTPB for ECE, Congrats! thanks for the update. What research team would you be joining? can you give a brief on your profile and the PI's initials?

TTPB: To What area did you guys apply? Hep-th by any chance?

Got interviewed and accepted by PI. The official letter will be sent out at the end of Feb I guess

Canadian Student. Good GPA with 3 years of TA experience, and 1 year of research experience.

Informal email of acceptance form potential PI

Informal notice of acceptance from interviewer. Formal letter from the department will still take a bit of time.

Informal acceptance from supervisor over email

TTPB (McGill): Thanks for sharing the info. Yes, let's just be patient. Good luck to both!

informal acceptance over email

TTPB: My status is also "submitted". I had a brief interaction with my POI before I submitted the application and Prof did not say anything related to "not accepting students" or "will accept students" this year... Maybe just wait as COVID in Canada is getting serious.

TTPB (McGill): I haven't heard back from them either. Also my status still just says “submitted”. I sent them the messages via communication tool, but nobody answered:(I just hope they are accepting applicants this year.
