To anyone waiting on a response from CEE dept, the google form to RSVP for Visit Day (3/6), closes tomorrow (2/28) at noon. Hoping we all hear before then, but honestly not likely.

called the assistant to the program asking for the check-up of my status. they told me they have finished the first round. the second round would presumably start around April 5th

Funding is not official yet.

Woke up seeing the rejection. Not surprised. It's Cornell. My top option. Good thing I have other offers already. Not too sad. Only a little bit.

I got admitted with no financial support.

Have a good academic record with a 4.0 GPA from a recognized US university. I had two publications in the field of study and had similar interests with the professor. I had talked to the professor prior to the application once and took an interview as well. Excited to join the university.

To whoever asked about possibility of funding for CEE masters, I heard from PhD Stanford CEE students that the CEE department typically expects Masters students to pay and doesn't do a good job supporting masters students compared to CEE PhD students. MIT CEE professor told me not to apply for masters at Stanford for this reason.
