TTPB: I spoke of informal interviews earlier- these only occurred after professors contacted me saying I had been recommended for admission, so I could learn more about their research and the program. I assume whether these occurs prior to receiving formal admission letter depends on the specific professor/group interested.

TTPB (McGill): I found an old post on the Linguist List showing that the 2019 admissions deadline was Dec 9th, so it seems things are just taking longer this year.

TTBPs: Another McGill Linguistics applicant here. Does anybody know whether the past deadlines for submitting applications were also in December or were they much earlier than that? (that would explain why most posters had decisions by this time last year). Anyways, hoping they get back to us soon!

Astro/cosmo. No official interview. Contacted POI earlier.

Does anyone know if McGill always conducts interviews for its Master's program? Even for theory?

Formal email acceptance from Physics dept. recieved 2/4. Prior informal interviews with Profs. said that dept. grad coordinator was not working last week, so the formal acceptance letters being sent soon.

TTPB(McGill): My status is also still "submitted". Are they even going to do interviews? (Past posts say they did)

Has anyone heard anything from the Experimental program?

Interview with POI :)

Great fit, GRE scores not so good, really hope the list gets to me!

If you decided not to attend, please inform McGill of your decision promptly. By far, this is the best chance I got for getting into a Ph.D. program. (I haven't received any offer of admission from the other five universities I applied to), so if you can inform the university as early as you, there might be a chance I can be offered admission. Thank you!

Got an email from DGS; formal letter regarding funding coming soon!

Great GPA, solid (not stellar) GRE, strong fit (imo). Excited!

Canadian undergrad with UK master's (merit).
