Nice words: "Thank you very much for applying to our graduate program in Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for studies beginning in the 2011-2012 academic year. The Admissions Committee has reviewed your file carefully and has regretfully decided not to offer you admission at this time." But still sad............sigh...

For those who got acceptance from UIUC, did you get the official letter from graduate school? I was notified 2,5 weeks ago and still waiting for the letter.

it's ridiculous that I was on the waiting list last year. They told me that the it is particularly competitive this year...
