I just got an update from UofT political science, waitlisted. My subfield is comparative politics. I am being waitlisted. So, if any of you plan not to go to UofT political science, please decline now for me. :'(

Emailed the department last evening to know if they have made any final decisions, since my deadline from another institute is approaching. They sent out my rejection this morning. I feel like they are wasting our time by not letting us know. If you need to know your status, try emailing.

This department was my dream and where I felt I fit the best. I believed I might even reject Harvard if I were accepted here, but unfortunately, I received a rejection. They say there's a silver lining in everything, but right now, I am profoundly sad. I feel like crying; my heart is truly broken.

3.75/4 GPA last two years. Got my BSc in Biomed Sciences from YorkU in Toronto.

Canadian applicant.

IGNORE WAITLIST. Has anyone heard back from the University of Toronto (direct-entry PhD)? Are they conducting interviews at all and are they releasing offers/waitlist/rejections all at once?

GPA is grad. A kind phone call from a faculty member :) official letter coming next week! 2a/1w/3r/5p

emailed department administrator to ask when decisions would be available and they responded by telling me they wouldnt be available until april but that i was rejected so i shouldnt wait around. :/ reply was very pompous, bordering on rude. not overly bummed, but things are starting to look dire. 0a/9r/0w/3p

Ignore status. Has anyone heard anything from the department regarding the announcement of results? The application deadline was December 13th, and I haven't received any updates since then.

Thought I had a strong application. Did not even get invited for an interview and got rejected today :/

Not my biggest fit, but it's ok. I am still waiting for another school and I have already a plan B and job opportunity.
