Does anyone know about acceptance or rejection letters to MIT CEE SM/PhD program? Do the PIs contact the accepted students before March?

Meh. I expected it, didn't get an interview. Had 2 papers (one in a top journal) and several conference papers at top conference in the field.

Rejected from UMichi. So far 2a/2r/5p. Bit surprised since my research is the same as the potential advisor I contacted. 2 publications on journals as first authors. 2 posters and 1 oral presentation on ACS conference.

That's weird. I got the email from the department yesterday at around noon and got the official letter in the evening.

Any one accepted for PhD ?

3.6 gpa. 2 * first author paper, 2 * technical report, 2 * internships, 2 * teaching experience

Instead, accepted into their MS program (NO Funding). I already have an MS degree in CEE (Transportation) from Virginia Tech, which is pretty clear in my application packet, CV, SOP, and LORs (all 3 LORs are from my MS thesis committee). This brings me to my question, are they thoroughly going through the application packets?

I received email only. Nothing on website yet. "Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that I am recommending to the Dean of the Graduate Division to admit you to the MS program in Environmental Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley for the 2020-21 academic year. The Dean of the Graduate Division performs the final review and, barring any eligibility issues, will extend the formal offer of admission. You may expect the Dean's official offer letter to follow in about two weeks." ... "...
