conditional offer, must wait for funding

Received email yesterday, same rejection letter with same content like last year lol

Asked for status update and got this

GPA is masters, really happy to even get waitlisted, and crossing my fingers for more good news soon!

Sent an email to the director of grad admissions last Wednesday and his assistant sent me my rejection this morning. This is 4 in a row.

Has anyone else received a waitlist email? Do you know your ranking? Those who are not going, please withdraw as soon as possible, this is my last chance.

I emailed the director last week, and he said the committee put me at the top of the waitlist after the interview. Since they could only offer funding for 2 students this year, it was an extremely tough decision. For those who got admitted but don't want to go, please please consider declining the offer. This process is extremely hard for international students.
