Email with form rejection (but a pretty nice one). Super bummed about this one, got my hopes up. :/

Kind, short form email rejection from the director and assistant director.

Instructed by email to check website for application decision.

Email to check portal. When I got to the portal I saw that I was missing a LOR :(

Email to check 1 sentence long decision letter. Sent at like 2AM Sunday, nice, very normal

Email this morning, waiting for a call with more details. Excited about this one!

The longer it went on with no updates, the more I figured it was a rejection. Still, it was my top choice so the notification stung extra hard.

Acceptance email to set up a call to talk more. I love this method because I can organize the questions and not miss the call. Super excited about the program!!

For Michener Center for Writers. No email, just checked portal and status said denied. No other info available about number of applicants/acceptance rate.

I received the email about a quarter to five Friday evening. They said they'll let me know of any further developments in the coming weeks. Fingers crossed!

Email saying that portal has been updated. Form rejection with no additional stats about number of applicants, spots, etc.

Pleasant surprise! thought for sure since I didn't hear anything that I'd been rejected

I received an email notification of my acceptance from a faculty in the program, with a fellowship award totalling 8,000 dollars. A follow-up email as well as an official offer letter from the University are to be expected soon. Application fee was waived, no interview, powerful Writing Sample, SOP and strong LOR. No GRE. No TOEFL.
