Email from POI asking for 20 min interview.

PL, CSE, silent admit (check your portal!). Interview scheduled for later...

Email. Standard. They asked for only 1 LoR, transcript (Bachelor's in CS, GPA: 3.05/4, top Indian uni), resume and TOEFL. 3 years work ex as Data Scientist at startup. I had 333/340 on GRE and 2 other strong recos, along with a decent SoP - they never came into play.

Invited for Quick chat with POI, spoke about interesting research projects, my background, and any questions I had about his lab. No GRE, some research experience in Machine Learning, few undergrad internships. One of my top choices!

casual, with POI

Admitted for SE/FM

Research Interests: NLP Research internship with a professor from top-10 US grad school

Good GPA/ Work Exp/ Few Pubs. 30 minutes interview with POI. Nice experience. Feel free to comment if you have any queries!

Background: Good GPA/ Work exp/ Few papers Int Exp: 60 minutes, was a bit technical (my work and very basic ML stuff).

60 minutes, fairly technical interview (detailed discussion of research experience, asked to answer a math question)

Email from one of two POIs mentioned in SOP to discuss my application.

Had a short casual interview with POI. Good GPA + Few Papers + Work exp

Applied on Jan 15th about an hour before the deadline. Got a call out of the blue from admissions today (someone named Anna) where they asked me various questions, such as why Tufts, and if I had any questions for them. I did not expect the call at all, but they seemed impressed with my application (poor GPA, but multiple publications + very strong letters of recommendation)!

Talked with Professor, for about 50 minutes. More casual than an interview.

Email from a POI that I mentioned in my SoP, the email said that decisions were being made next Wed
