Randomly checked the portal which simply stated that I had been denied admission.

If anyone is planning to attend another program, please release your spot soon! This is my top choice and I am very anxiously waiting to get off the waitlist. Thanks! :)

If you got an offer for this program and will defer, please please please let them know asap so they can start calling waitlisted folks!

rejection without email, invest so much on this one, unfortunately got rejected, feel sad

I got waitlisted for the phd last year and got into the masters this year, but yet did not get into combined program.

Ignore interview. Has anyone heard from Rutgers University? I still haven't. I waiting to hear from both Newark and Camden. I wrote to Newark and received this reply on Mar 22nd, (though online it shows, it is not even under review} "The committee just started releasing decisions this week. Your application has been under review. You can expect a decision on or before April 20, 2022" I wrote to Camden as well but no reply.

No notification that a decision had been made. Just checked the portal.

Rejection no notification. Saw a post on here so I decided to check.

Did not send any email after taking the decision. I was checking on admission portals of the Universities I applied and found my rejection. They did not update my application fee checkbox for more than 1 month. Even they dont respond to emails too.

Didn't make it off the waitlist. apparently, they have only two seats for cultural anthro this year. smh

I emailed and filled out the contact form for Rutgers a few weeks ago asking about decisions. I've checked the portal daily and “under review” was still locked. I just heard back today from the contact form that the decision was posted on my page. It was one line stating the rejection. No letter or any other information given. Very impersonal and disappointing considering this was a top choice. Glad to round off my application season. 1 A/11 R/0 P

Received an email from the department's graduate director. This year there were only two openings.

Solicited. Official rejections are going to go out in a couple of weeks.

Obviously, I knew my app had been rejection but was holding onto a mustard seed of hope.. reached out several times with no response and finally got through via phone today. She didn't look me up or anything, just said all acceptances had been sent out. Frustrating because they could have and should have sent an email out sooner in case I had been waiting to accept another offer. Not happy in Rutgers overall process of admissions and for the amount of money of the application they could've at least made sure everyone received some kind of correspondence instead of me having to hunt them down.
