I interviewed there last year and did not get in. Emailed my POI to check application status and was told that they sent out interview requests and I did not get one because everyone liked me from last time so they didn't think they needed to interview me again. They said I am on the "short list" and will get more info after the interview day, which is happening February 24. Also have an offer from another program and was encouraged by the POI to wait to make a decision until she got back to me.

Not really surprised. I emailed to double check because I heard a rumor that their interview day was 2/07/14, but no one had posted anything here about the cognitive program. It's good to know for sure. I already got an offer from a good program so it stings a little less.

Nominated for a fellowship. First acceptance, very excited!

Columbia and Upenn graduate, 1 paper published 5 years research experience, faculty fit, outstanding letters, good gre scores...really surprised by this PI told me relevant research experienced weighed in more than normal.

emailed by POI 2/3 requesting phone call, spoke on phone today, admissions committee meetings start today and decisions should be out around mid-March
