Will you guys re-apply for the Uiowa this year? I don't know what is their procedure of administration. I thought I prepared it so well but didn't even get an interview. This is very frustrating... ugh...

It is probable that you are either accepted or waitlisted. Last year, I had an interview with them and as I didn't hear back from them in two weeks, I emailed them and received a reply that I was waitlisted. This year, they rejected me with no interviews. Probably, it was not a good decision to re-apply.

TTPB: Yeah I know this year has been tough. All I have been getting so far are rejections and it has honestly torn me apart. But don't give up. We got this! Good luck to you, I really hope you get accepted.

TTPB: I clearly remember that there used to be an option to select "others" until a couple of days ago. I don't know if it is a change by the admin or so.

TTPB: Are you being waitlisted by Iowa? Are you CB or Quant? I haven't heard from them yet after the interview, and I have known so many people getting rejected. I am kinda worried right now, because I think maybe their decisions are separated based on CB and Quant. Greatly appreciate if you can answer. TTPB: You are worthy, remember that! I am on the same boat as you but do not give up. This year's competition was crazy due to the pandemic. There were so many applicants and they are accepting very few students. Please do not feel unworthy, I am sure you are so qualified. The schools accepts students based on who they think would be easiest to supervise. PhD schools are very biased. It all depends on the POI you stated on the SOP. So stay happy and confident. You are more than worthy.
