TPB, offers have been made. If you think you have a strong background in math or economics, you can contact the program directly.

Hi, I am just wondering that if the Msc. program has already given out offers and if no interview invitation means rejection. Thank you

Received an email to check the application portal!! After an agonizing week of waiting, happy to be accepted. Environmental Science/Public Policy undergrad double major, OK GRE scores, and 4 1/2 years of work experience! Funding released in March

College offer received. No word on funding yet.

MEM - Received email at 7 pm sharp to check application portal (with PDF of acceptance letter inside!) Funding information coming later :-)

TPB: Unfortunately, no. The earliest acceptances, according to posts here on gradcafe, have been around March 1. They are a renowned school & take their time making decisions. So all we can do is - wait till posts appear here!

Is it reasonable to expect them to get back to us sometime in February? Or it's going to be March only?

To the poster below. I e-mailed them and they said late February to Early March.

No Explanation. "Thank you for your application to the Ph.D. in Sociology program at the University of British Columbia Vancouver Campus for the term beginning September 1, 2020. We regret to inform you that your application for this graduate program was not successful. Each year, many good applicants are declined admission to the University of British Columbia. Common reasons for declining applicants include unavailability of appropriate faculty advisors and/or funding for the applicant, an applicant’s less competitive academic record, and simply the limited number of spots available in graduate programs.Due to the significant number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide applicants with specific explanations for being declined. We wish you well in your future endeavors. Thank you for your interest in pursuing graduate studies at the University of British Columbia. Yours truly"

MA in Social Policy from an non-European international university. Two years of RA experience.

GPA grad. Waitlisted for funding. If you received a funded offer and will decline, please do so as soon as possible. I really love this program, my number one choice by far.

Has any one heard from UBC Political Science regarding their PhD admission? It seems that their decisions were out by this time in previous years.

Wait listed after interview. Super bummed, since this is my #1 choice. I REALLY hope I get off the wait list.

Hi there! My application was completed on Jan. 15 (two reference letters received by admission), and I was emailed by SOAS on Feb. 5. No word on funding (not surprised). Good luck to you all!
