Finally. Recommended by CS department. Waiting for an official offer.

The response that I got from Katie: "I can understand you’re anxious to know the result. We expect to send our first offers out this week, but the admissions committee will still be considering additional offers. If you do not receive an acceptance email this week, it does not mean that you are not admitted. We will notify all applicants once all offers have been made later this semester."

The CS PhD results were supposed to be out yesterday for those who are admitted. Did anyone receive an email?

I applied to the PhD program and my "Classification" on the housing website states "Doctoral", my "status" on the mystatus website reads "In review".

I applied to Masters without aid and I see the housing option too. But I think it is generic. According to this - https://admissions.utexas.edu/apply/housing, it is recommended to "complete the housing housing application as soon as possible after you finish your admissions application", and "If you’re admitted to the university and accept your offer of admission, you are eligible to be offered a housing contract"

The number of people getting the housing option seems too damn high (going by the quantity of posts here) for the paltry number of seats advertised. I doubt the housing option has anything to do with the final decisions but the timing seems odd given that 23rd January is the decision day for PhD CS applicants atleast. P.S. I also got the housing option.

To the posters who applied to PhD programmes but are being shown as "Classification Master", are you applying directly for PhD from a Bachelor programme?

I applied for a Masters (Fall 2017) without aid. I just logged into the UT portal, and see "Classification Master" under Program summary. It's weird though. Application status is "In Review" and I haven't got any official email from UTA. Anyone else applied for Masters without aid?

I applied for PhD only, but my Classification is Master. Hope this does not indicate I'm rejected :(

I applied to "PhD or Masters". If the housing status is unrelated to the decisions, what made them mark my classification as "Masters" only and not "Doctoral"? Anyway, it seems like we can't be sure until we get the official decisions communicated to us directly.

To UT Austin poster below. You applied for PhD only? And your status on housing page shows Classification Master?

Applied to phd only but see status in master. Maybe I got rejected by both.
