I received a call from a POI who informed me I was accepted. The official letter will be sent soon. This happened after I had an interview three weeks ago and received ten rejections from other universities.

Denied. I had a tricky time with shortened SOP.

Waitlisted for admission after interview. This program would be a great fit! Please let them know if you will not be accepting admission.

Accepted from the waitlist after sending the letter of continued interest with an additional letter of recommendation. Super excited!!

I regret to inform you that your application for graduate study at UC Davis for Fall Quarter 2024 was not approved. If you have any questions regarding your denial, you may contact the admissions advisor of the Anthropology graduate program. Thank you once again for your interest in pursuing graduate education at UC Davis. If in the future you believe that your accomplishments may be competitive, please do not hesitate to reapply. I wish you every success in achieving your educational objectives.
