Got an email stating that I have been nominated for admission from the dean of graduate studies. Awaiting official letter of acceptance now. So EXCITED!

Three years of research, two industry internships, a lot of volutneering, SPIE education scholar

Invited for "PhD in Management Visit Day"

All invitations extended by the end of last week. About 370+ of us did not get an invitation. I think for many of us it felt like a reach anyways... Congratulations to all that got interviews, you sure deserve them.

Standard rejection email. All interviews have been extended.

Interview over Skype with potential PI

Got unofficial letter from POI in early Feb. Still waiting for the official one. I've decided to accepted this one. Very excited!

As expected, crappy B-school. I was told by a faculty at another school that, if you go there, you are crippled by the school; even if you work hard and get a few top pubs, still recruiter will cast doubt on you.

I declined. I hope this opens up a spot for someone else! :-)

I got a reply the following email two weeks ago: "Thank you for your email. Admissions decisions are still being finalized. As soon as a definitive decision has been made regarding your application you will be notified via Grad Apply. All decisions will be made by April 15th." Today is the due day the program make a decision.
