Invitation to attend visit weekend, letter stated the vast majority of students invited to interview weekends are offered admission

When I went to check my application status, it was showing 'Denied'.

Received a fully-funded scholarship from the government. No publication.

Email from my top professor of choice to attend visitation weekend. Offer letter states vast majority of visitation weekend attendees will receive acceptances. Flights, hotel, and food for weekend are paid for. $46k/yr stipend

No pubs, no GRE. 3.87 GPA, 30 months of research experience including one industry internship. 3 good LORs, two from professor/research advisors, one from industry internship manager. Informed of recommendation for admission on December 4 via email, followup on December 9 with financial offer, and official acceptance December 12. Super happy about this!
