I got an email that shot confetti from the word "congratulations." I got excited, bragged to anybody around me, then really looked at it and realized it was a waitlist notification. There are four slots open in the program. If anybody declines, I may take their place—no mention of ranking within the waitlist. It's good news, not great news. But I think it means I have a shot at some of my other schools.

praying that those who got in are Super Genius Poets who were Accepted Into All of Their Dream Schools plus the ones they Didn't Even Apply To and will therefore offer up their slots to me : ) thanks : )

70 applicants for 5 spots, I am in the top 18. Seems highly unlikely, but I really appreciate their candor.

Received a vague email from the graduate school, and had no communication from the department itself. Not too upset by this one as I was already accepted into a PhD program elsewhere. Good luck to those that got accepted!

Master's GPA

Waitlisted after interview.

PI said that I was their first choice in the interview, I guess that really was true.

Cnf. I received an email that says they have already made 4 offers of admission and are “waiting to hear whether those offers are accepted”.

Lovely phone call from the Director of Graduate Studies! UO GradWeb portal has also been updated as of late this morning. My focal department is English, with a secondary focus in Indigenous, Race, and Ethnic Studies. I will be accepting this offer.

ignore interview--has anybody heard from this program? Deadline was Dec. 1, so it's been nearly 3 months. I don't really want to email the graduate admissions contact person for fear of seeming pushy.

Funding potentially forthcoming.

Two years research, no publications but several presentations. Rec letters from research mentors.
