Did anyone got accepted for M.Eng MIE. I got an email few months back from the Department of MIE, Ryerson that my application was sent to them from admissions and is being reviewed. Didn't heard from them at all till now. A bit worried because I'm an international applicant and I would also need some time for my visa application. Fingers Crossed!

To the person who was able to contact Ms Villada, thank you for your input. One question, did Ms Villada actually tell you that chances are slim or you are concern that the chances are low at this time?

The grad office says they are going thru evaluation process as fast as they could. I doubt that because I applied way back in december and no words yet. They also told me to accept other "promising" offers, so I would not be hopeful at the moment if no offer has been made. I am sure that eventough an offer comes this late it would be w/o funding. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Although I have attempted to contact the department a number of times to find out my status, no one is answering the phone. I have also tried to send emails, but I received no response. As the due date to notify international students of admissions was May 15th, I assume they are given two weeks to accept an Admitted decision. I also assume that after two weeks, VTech will send another round of decisions.

Did anyone get the offer from the second round? It's very late date in the processing, they told me not to wait anymore.

Has anyone gotten any emails from them? (MEng) I know they want me to send them a hard copy of my transcript, but the current status is still under consideration and also is it a good sign or just another process?

Defer Decision

Absolutely pathetic PR! I'm the guy who posted the admit on the 4th of April. Received an email today that reads: "Unfortunately, our recommendation to the Dean has not been approved. It appears you will not be admitted to our program after all. We are very sorry for the confusion created by our department level welcome letter, but it is beyond our control."

The SGS graduate unit has requested to send the official transcript to them. Is this usual or should I take it on a positive note?

Finally got an email saying check the website!

I contacted the department today via email, and got a reply saying "If you are international, you will hear from us very soon. We just completed the review". We might be getting responses from them soon. I hope...
