So excited! Average GPA, strong GRE quant, strong LoR and SoP. Three years work experience. They WILL look at your entire application as a whole. Excited to attend my dream school!

2 years work experience in financial services industry, undergraduate degree in international affairs from mid-top tier university. Mediocre GPA, pretty good gre scores but not exceptional

Used the forum for information so giving it back. Final year undergraduate from top UK university. BSc Economics. Relevant internships with UN and public policy institutes. No information about funding (most probably no funding), but still very excited!

Very low GPA, so-so GRE, zero working experience, some relevant internships, strong LoR and SoP. I'm pretty surprised that i got in.

Low freshman year GPA, but had a 3.9 average all of senior year. Average GRE scores (good quant over verbal, 99th percentile AW). Lots of relevant research, great recommendations from top economists, worked on my SOP for a long time. Just finished undergrad last year, took a gap year. Applied too late for fellowships but accepted the offer and super excited to go to my dream school!

Already got rejected by Columbia SIPA's regular two year degree, so kind of expected this. Got accepted into other great schools so not super bummed.

3 years work experience in for-profit sector. 3 years in non-profit. No funding.

Accepted!! Average GPA, mediocre GRE scores (quant was absolutely terrible), excellent references from top government officials, internship and abroad working experience as well as current full-time employment for a government agency. Shows you they really do take a holistic approach when reviewing applications. Will be attending in the fall as it is dream school.

No funding. Let's see what I can do about this.

Can't believe I got into all 4 schools I applied :) My GPA & GRE are mediocre but I think my work experiences and SOPs are what got me in!! Woot woot! 24k funding from SAIS and 20k funding from Fletcher, 33k external funding from Georgetown (tentative) and no funding from SIPA (boo) Will most likely attend SAIS since it's been my dream school.

Yeah, even I can't believe it! I guess I have sufficiently strong professional experience, essays, and LoRs to make up for my terrible quant score. I also got into 2 other top programs! So, don't worry too much about your GRE scores!
