Undergrad from an indian university, cummulative CGPA 8.8/10, research experience

Hepex. Keep in touch with one of the potential PIs. Admitted with a TA position for 9 months, ~24k. 1.5 years of relative experience and 3 strong letters from my research PI.

Has anyone heard of movement from the waitlist in previous years? Trying to get a sense of how likely it is to receive an offer later on.

1 publication in space physics, 2 research experiences, not even interview

french system for grades : ~14/20

1 International Research Experience at Purdue, 1 Book Chapter published, (3 review + 1 research submitted), 3 years of REU

2.5 years of research experience and two papers scheduled to release. I had great reccs too but alas nothing can change that gpa. No surprised but disappointed.

Talked to PI with whom I had an interview few months ago. They have taken only one candidate from condensed matter theory this year. Currently I am in waiting list with top priority. Please reject the offer if you are (that candidate) no longer interested at MSU.

Perimeter should notify their students earlier what their position on the waitlist is. To be fair, I would have rejected their offer anyway, as I have another, better master's offer, but I think it's unfair to keep students waiting in the dark for so long.

Emailed a professor i had an informal interview with back in december asking for an update. Was informed i was on the waitlist. I know everyone says this, but please if you know youre not going decline the acceptance. This is my #1 school and may be my only hope this cycle

Fully funded PhD in theory of Quantum Dynamics and Condensed Matter. Bachelor's GPA - 3.97, Master's GPA - 3.60. 2.5+ years of relevant research experience and 1 summer internship from US. 1 single author arXiv but no publication. Personally emailed faculty member and had an interview in late-mid February.
