MS CS. Field: Systems. Background: Top Indian university, 1 research paper at A* conference, 1 international research internship

Received e-mail; asked to apply to MS Computer Engineering instead.

I had received an admit for fall 2020 intake for data science. I couldn't defer it two years so I reapplied this year. I applied before December 15.

Tier 2 University GPA : 9.4/10 (GRE:330), decent research experience and no work experience. Excited to get into NCSU. My research area was

Just received an email from the graduate coordinator with the acceptance offer and four years of funding

No interview 1 peer-reviewed journal publication, 1 conference paper

Second time rejected by this program. 3.94 GPA, Math and CS double major from a medium ranked state school. 2 years of undergrad research experience with 1 published NLP paper (first author), 3 years of working experience as a data scientist and SWE. Guess I'm just not Harvard material :(

I was contacted by a POI in January. This decision is not a loss on my end. I was accepted into a better fitted program that I already accepted.

Area is systems and networks. Two interviews in December.

I had an interview late Jan. 4 strong LORs. No GRE. Over 3.9 GPA from undergrad. Strong research experience and posters/upcoming publications but I guess the POI didn't think it was a fit. I'm a bit disappointed with the experience overall.

Theory, no interview.

4.0, Engineering Undergrad, No GRE, 3 research conferences, 1 first-author paper. Knew it was coming along with the rest of y'all, still annoying though. Good luck to everyone else in this cycle (and future cycles), we still got a lot more coming up :).
