I contacted them multiple times to be accepted for the Spring semester, an exception was made. But no Assistanship- couldnt find one

I haven't heard from them for SEVERAL MONTHS. I got admitted to much better school so never mind. But I at least paid 100 USD and you would expect to hear something from them. WHAT'S GOING ON?

I would have made a great forecasting economist. I predicted I would be rejected and I was! Aside from the despondent humor, I feel like I want to puke.

Got admission to direct PhD-EE (VLSI) with full financial support. UG GPA: 3.94/4.00; GRE: 320; TOEFL: 95, 5 conference paper (Among them 3 in IEEE Xplore); 3 year relevant work experience.
