So I have been rejected from PhD program early February. However, there was a choice in application to consider for Master program, and I believe many of us have selected "yes." I am wondering will our application actually be put into MS pool and get reviewed again? Will there be any notification if they do? Or is it just a dummy choice that doesn't really matter?

Does anyone know when the MS CS results will be announced this year? Will they send them out on the Friday of the third week, as they did the last few years?

3.9GPA from top ranked CS undergrad. Working for top tech firm. 'A' in 1 SCPD class. No luck :(

Had an interview about a week before this came in.

Applied to Jure's group. No interview, generic reject email. However, their email did not have the word "regret" in it, which was quite revolutionary for grad school standards.

2 International Papers, 2 years of experience, Strong SOP and LORs (according to me), Below avg GRE and TOEFL, Didn't get the interview.

Rejected after an interview. Thought I had a chance :(

Same rejection letter as the one I got 2 years ago. Two first author papers in top venues and several other ones. Interviewed with a non-POI prof. The field of ML/CV is definitely too crowded.
