Part III MASt in Astrophysics. Offer conditional of getting a 2:1 equivalent, and I received a full scholarship. I guess next step is to wait for college admission. Super excited, good luck to everyone else!

Opening a dedicated thread on student room forum. Let's connect-Phd candidates

Part iii, MASt Pure Mathematics. No email. Checked the portal and found that my application was unsuccessful.

No email, just portal says my application was unsuccessful. Interviewed in February, did horribly, asked me basic ML questions but I have not been using ML for years so I forgot everything, should've reviewed. No pub. I am not too keen on doing research anyway. Going to Yale, take some courses and get my masters degree.

TTPB who got accepted in QM group: Did you get funding? Also, did you have to sit for an interview, if so with whom?

[NOT INTERVIEW] Hey for those who applied to MPhil Econ research, did they already send out any interview requests? or any decisions for that matter? my application has been under review for so long and I havent heard anything

Conditional offer

Applied: Dec 1 Interviewed: mid-Jan PAO/GAO: Feb 19 Offer letter: Mar 19

Undergrad at top RGU. Averaging +70%, one internship and one research project in the field. Had my interview in late January and was notified of the outcome a week later.

I emailed the department only a few days ago asking when I might receive a decision and was told it wouldn't be until April or more likely May. Happen to check the portal today and saw I was unsuccessful. Very weird, but I guess I'm glad to finally have an answer.

FINALLY AFTER FIVE MONTHS OF WAITING

Contacted the department by email and found out that I hadn't been recommended for admission. They also said that the official status can take a few weeks to change. From one of the top unis in Europe, excellent grades and some research experience.

TPPB: First, contrats for your admission! I'd like to know: did you interview? If so, what kind of questions were you asked?
