Received email saying that a decision had been made and posted to my account.

First time applicant accepted via email on March 12th, 2021 to McGill for the MSc Applied program in Speech-Language Pathology! Cumulative GPA of 3.89. No prior SLP experience, but I do have some research experience via an Honours Thesis as well as I have been a teaching assistant for phonetics and introduction to linguistics. Undergrad is in Linguistics (concentration in Psycholinguistics and Communication Disorders) and a minor in Spanish. Congrats to all accepted! Will wait to hear back from other schools before making a decision.

For the question below, I am admitted into DISE program, and I contacted a prospective supervisor. On the website, they stated "To be admitted to the program, the applicant must have the approval of a prospective supervisor."

TTPB: Does anyone know what the intake for ME non-thesis is? It seems like nobody got into this program last year on gradcafe.

No word on funding. Over the moon though! McGill is one of my top choices.

OMG!!! I just can not believe I got accepted, I am crying right now, literally.

TTPB: For those who are still waiting for McGill, I emailed the graduate program coordinator and she said she has no idea and did not take part in the admission process, she also said any rejections will not be sent out until spring. She asked me to email my potential PI directly. So I emailed my PI and she said her group has reached max capacity (= rejection). Apparently admission is done within a research group instead of the department, so if you still haven't heard from them yet, you should probably just send your PI an email and ask.

I rejected this waitlist. I received offer from US. Canada no longer consideration. Good luck.
