Expected because no interview & no GRE, wasn't a good match either. Had contacts with a faculty member but would not have applied if it weren't for the fee waiver I got (had more attractive offers). The stipends of UCs are relatively low but the housing and various other fees are super expensive (and get more expensive every year) so not necessarily an ideal place for international students to study a PhD for 4-5 years on a fixed income. Ask the department to send you the application for fee waiver and wait after submitting it. I got the code on December 14 (one day before deadline). | ||||
