Masters 3.8., 4+ years experience in research/teaching. No publications but have done conference presentations

Was waitlisted in late January. Found out I was rejected. gg lol.

That took a while, hadn't heard anything from Vanderbilt since early February.

Had interview with researcher months ago. He told me he would circle back to me in a couple weeks. Never did. Got rejected. Anyways ...

Never formally notified after contacting the department multiple times. I ultimately called graduate school and they were able to check my status and see that I was not admitted - formal notice supposedly to come tomorrow, April 16. I am accepting an offer elsewhere, but it was highly frustrating to be strung along until (after!) the deadline to accept or decline my other offers

No interview.

OMG!! I got in!!! Thank you so so so much to those who considered my situation in their decision!!! I was corresponding all week with them and finally got the official letter!!! I'm getting my PhD y'all I'm so EXCITED!!!!! Out of 14 applications, 12 rejections, 1 admit to a master's and this one makes the second one! On the second to last day no less!! Congratulations to everyone who got in and I wish the best for those who had to go to plan B! I love you all and this community and I'm so lucky to be joining everyone in academia this year!!
