Ignore the waitlist. Has anyone received any updates from UCLA? I know people who got a status update (no email) that was a rejection, but my portal still looks the same as before, without any updates. Anyone else experiencing this?

Got phone call from PI said official offer is coming out in the next one or two days.

Letter in Portal - I didn't get an email; the system messed up, apparently. My status said "submitted," but when I emailed the department, they felt bad and said I was accepted a while ago.

I was invited to the Open Day even though I hadn't received the result. Upon further inquiry, I was told that I was waitlisted. A few days later I was contacted to provide missing transcripts, which is a good sign of being reconsidered. Finally, I was emailed to check the portal and got the acceptance letter.

Email was in spam! Pending a degree audit but was informed the program officially recommended me for admission.

IGNORE STATUS! has anyone received email from ucla ischool? It's taking so long...

No GRE, spent considerable time studying abroad (Taiwan Fall '23), currently in Beijing for Spring '24), internship abroad, went to a community college and eventually a state school for undergrad, first-generation, blue-collar background. HYPED (Also accepted to University of Washington & Georgetown University // rejected by Stanford).

[NOT WAITLISTED] Do they release admissions? Should I consider myself rejected if I haven't heard from them yet?

Email to check portal

No GRE

Thanks a lot for the offer from the advisor.

Cool!

Ignore waitlist status; Has anyone heard back from UCLA's Masters program for East Asian Studies? Website says they'll get back by mid-March but I haven't heard anything...

Email to check portal.

Shocking, positively shocking.

GPA is grad. 4a/1w/15r/0p. That's the end of my season. Best of luck to everyone!
