To the person accepted from Univ. of Hawaii, are you an in-state or out-of-state student?

Only have until March 30th to respond. Does anyone know if you have to give a deposit at that time?

Received an informal email from the admissions counselor that contained my acceptance letter. She wanted to give me a heads up because the postal service overseas takes longer. It was really nice of her to let me know ahead of time instead of having to wait a couple of weeks.

informal acceptance from chair of microbiology department. Will hear from the graduate dean's office formally through the post in a week or two.

with $32,331 financial aid for the first year

Accepted with first year assistantship and full tuition waiver

Email asking if I was interested. Offer with financial support to follow.

Things are not coming up Milhouse. This was supposed to be one of my safety schools. 6 more rejections to hear back from now.

No word on funding.

I applied to the Ph.D. program but got accepted into the Masters. They "hope to be able to" offer funding. $5,000/semster for two semesters.

(Having applied to the PhD program):"The Admissions Committee has found your application very impressive, and we would very much like to offer you a position in the program. However, we are unable to do so at this time, and we would therefore like to offer you admission to our MA program." They offered decent funding, so I will probably take it.

To the UH Sociology poster from March 5th/6th, this is exactly the same wording as the email I received in November a few weeks after I submitted my application. It must be a general email that they send to everyone to ensure that the department receives all of your documents. Be sure to email the Sociology department to see if they have all your information. Thanks!

Your UH-Manoa student identification number is: ######… Please use this number in all future communications to assist us in proper identification of your admissions application… your file has been forwarded to the graduate program for their review process. Please contact the program directly for the status of your file as they may require additional documentation or items.” Thanks!

To the UH Sociology poster from March 5th, I received a similar email back in November from graduate admissions, with my student id and information on how to contact the department to make sure my application was complete. What was the exact wording in your email?

Received email from grad dept. notifying me of my student ID number and telling me to contact dept. for update on my file. Does anyone know if that means our application status has been updated, or if we're just checking in to make sure our file is complete?
