'The examination of your dossier by the Admissions Committee of the degree programme has shown that your performance does not sufficiently fulfil the criteria set out in the discipline requirements profile.' Heartbroken 💔, but finally no need to wait for the results with anxiety.

Studied mech eng at a UK university. Mean grades 82.5/100. No relevant research experience nor publications.

It sucks

Got the email saying status update and to check the account. Thrilled :). One of my top prefs. Super happy. ESOP Requested. 4a/2r/6w

I was pretty surprised. I had a great GPA from an ivy league institution, publications, 2 years of experience in a relevant field, amazing LoRs... Oh, well... Still have some amazing options lined up. Congrats to those accepted. Super proud of you guys!

I studied chemical engineering at a small university in Scotland, I have no research experience or publications. All I have is a court medal. I had a constant GPA of 3.7/4.0. I did not apply on ESOP. Unfortunately, my university does not fulfil the requirements set by ETH.

Italian student from Polimi. GPA- 28.43/30. No internships, reseach experience. Ok LoR, mediocre SoP.

Emailed to check portal, accepted to Master program in Geophysics. From top asian univ., GPA 3.55/4.0 (converted to American scale), has a few research experience, no pub, no very strong LOR. Didn't submit GRE score (though required). I didn't expect to be admitted to ETHz. Good luck to others!
