Got accepted into the UCSD's GPS MIA program

with a specialization in computational science

TTPB. Thanks! Yeah, I got the admit on the https://connect.grad.ucsd.edu portal. Same place showing the Application Checklist. A 'Status Update' came above that. All the best! :)

TTPB from a second generation IIT, firstly a big congrats! Do you mind sharing which portal you got the update? Was it connect.grad.ucsd.edu ? And if you don't mind, which new IIT are you from?

2nd gen IIT, core-A publications in NLP and CV, no work exp, good lors. Got an email to check the portal. Any groups for admits?

Email to check application portal. My dream University! Amazing research in Computer Vision done here! Undergrad from a well reputed University in India. One international IEEE publication. Lots of projects in my intended field of research. Strong LORs.

To the UCSD MS poster: when did you apply? Congrats BTW

Received the offer of admissions from my department. Received the official green light through Grad Division on 2/26

Going crazy seeing people get accepted and rejected while I have heard nothing (no interview). Help

That was my first choice. It's really hard. I got a personal email from my POI telling me that the application pool was unusually strong and that they prioritized comp. stuff this year. I was encouraged to apply next year. I had an interview in early January, but was not invited to the open house.

Official offer from the Dean of GS on 2/27 (a little after midnight), but the informal offer from the Visual Arts Dept grad directors came Feb. 8.

3th time that this program reject me lol

Thank god! Did not want to go to my safety. :)

TTPB(BMS): When did you interview? Thanks.

called by faculty february 25

I was invited, but I couldn't attend the open house and my status is still "submitted" on the portal.
