Has anyone heard anything else from the University of Oregon? I saw that someone had been admitted (fiction, via phone, no portal update) on draft. Have all of the acceptances gone out?

Applied on Nov. 26!

Email from Heidi asking to schedule a TA Funding Interview

Thank you for sharing your work with us. We are so pleased to let you know that the strength of your application qualifies you to move to Round Two of our MFA admissions process. The Round Two application (due January 15) includes transcripts, letters of recommendation, a critical writing sample, and a $60 application fee. Please note that while we encourage you to continue with your application, there is no guarantee of admission.

When I'd given up all hope. Ah!! To all those waiting, hang in there...!

Was #4, then #3, then #2 on waitlist within a few weeks. Was told they weren't going to the list anymore due to COVID. Then got a call last week! Still surprised but it's the right time to just go.

I was interviewed yesterday!

Finally heard back that all the finalists accepted. It's a weird feeling, but a good one. This was the last thing holding me from another top choice program. So no love lost.

off the waitlist

Figured I was rejected given how long it took to be notified. Still sad to see this door close. With that, though, my season is over with 3a/1w/6r.

Got in off the waitlist!

Had my interview on Tuesday, was told they would notify me after the weekend/holiday. So it was a wonderful surprise to find the acceptance in my inbox Wednesday night! Flattered to get such a quick response. And intrigued by the outright enthusiasm for my work on the part of all the international programs I've applied to, vs. disinterest from most American programs.

Email with an odd letter attached: "The Graduate School has received your application for admission and has referred it to the Department of English. It is their recommendation, because your application was not ultimately selected for admission into our MFA program,, that you not be admitted to the degree program for which you have applied. I have approved this recommendation." The typo (,,)made me feel a little happy I will be attending a different program:)
