I got an email stating that my decision would be available at the CollegeNET portal post 5PM Eastern Time. No financial assistance.

I received an email this morning letting me know my status would be available on the website at closing time. I was pretty sure by this point that I was rejected. Still, it was annoying that they placed the information in the third paragraph. "On behalf of the faculty, I want to thank you for your interest in the Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing PhD Program at the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology and for giving us the opportunity to consider your graduate application to this program. Your application and supporting documents have been carefully reviewed by the admissions committee. In evaluating applicants' materials, we consider many factors including previous academic achievement, GRE and TOEFL scores (if applicable), letters of recommendation and your responses to the questions on the application. Admission to this program is extremely competitive and we offer admission to a small number of new students each year. For Fall 2018 we received large numbers of very qualified applicants. After careful review of all the applicants, I am sorry to report that we are unable to admit you this year. We wish you the best of luck in your future academic endeavors."

To the person who posted the rejection from GaTech robotics (PhD). Can you please specify which department you applied to? I haven't heard anything from them and there is no decision on their web site. Not sure what this means (most likely a reject). Have any acceptances from GAtech PhD robotics been sent out. Thanks.

to the poster below, I thinks its a generic email sent to everyone who applied, it does not mean we are potential candidates

I'm one of the guys who received the email without contacting them first. Really cannot understand why they sent these out. Do they want potential admittees to not hastily accept other offers, as their decision is taking longer than usual? By this logic, does it mean that the people who haven't received the mail, have already been rejected?

To the gatech post below, I received the same notification even though I didn't send any email. Does this mean waitlisted or rejection !!!

To the poster below worried about not having received the be patient email- I got the email as a response to me inquiring about the status of my application and when I should expect a decision. Must be a generic response but they don't send it unless you email them first.

Email from GT- "Due to a record number of applications this year, we are still working through the evaluation stage. Decisions will start going out as they are made over the next few weeks. What this means is that not all decisions are going out on the same day. Please be patient and let us work our way to you."

I got the same email. To be honest, seems like the email they'll be sending out to unsuccessful applicants. Fingers crossed

No news from GaTech ML PhD through CoC. For the posters earlier, could you share the email which said it'll be out last Friday? I've got no such email and no notifications from them since I submitted my application.

To the poster below what do you mean they have started giving out admits? Where did you learn this?

For the poster below, a simple lookup here tells me that they usually notify about the results at the end of March.
