I applied for a PhD; was accepted for a MS as "Decisions for admissions to Ph.D. studies are made during the MS year". Not sure if this is an indicator of lack of funding, lack of openings, advisor disinterest, or Stanford's protocols. No funding decisions until late March; will make my decision based on (1) communications with potential advisors and (2) funding.

Has anyone heard anything from rice? by cee website, the offers will be released by mid-march, and it's almost 15 days left. I asked my POI but the answer wasn't clear to be sure how is my chance!!!

Hey, thanks. I have received email from environmental engineering department, saying congratulations for getting admission. This zoom meeting link is different from the spring invitational, which was postponed.

TTPB who got rejected at UT, could you please share your track? And did you have interview? I applied also but the application still under review according to the portal

Had applied for PhD, instead got the acceptance for their MS. Received an email to check the portal.

Relieved as my first result was a positive one. Environmental concentration. No details of funding. Received a zoom link to attend their virtual graduate invitational.

Email just says "I regret to inform you that after careful consideration of your application file, the committee is unfortunately unable to grant you admission into our Graduate Program here at the UW-Madison. The evaluation of applications is a comprehensive process that considers grades, test scores, work experience, research experience, letters of recommendation, ranking of undergraduate institution, and other factors. Each year, we receive hundreds of applications with excellent academic records. Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we can admit only a small group of applicants who best match our requirements for the department."

Response from the Admissions Office: Notifications of interviews have been sent out. Although the admission decision has not been fully determined, the PhD program of Sustainable Design & Construction rarely admits people who have not been interviewed and have not studied at Stanford. Really sad. Good luck to those who received the interview.

I got a reply from the admission office and told me that I was on the waiting list and the waiting list was very long.
