The last decision I was still waiting for. MSCS has been extraordinarily competitive this season. Fall '23 applicants, please apply to more safe schools and alternative programs along with the MSCS ones, it honestly saved my MS dream.

From NIT with BTech ECE. Prior research experience with 3 conference publications. 2.5 years work experience in IT and Development with one of the FAANG company.

Came from economics who worked for 14-year as a software developer at a government institution. Being one of the applicants who get a massive wave of rejection today.

Thank you for your application to the graduate program in computer science at the University of Texas at Austin. Our on-campus admissions decisions have been made, and regrettably, we are not be able to offer you admission to the on-campus master's program. Due to extraordinarily high application volume, we were able to extend offers of admission to less than 5% of this year's applicant pool. Because of this volume, the admissions committee cannot provide individual feedback to applicants who were not selected for admission.

After careful evaluation of your application to the Computer Science Master of Science program for the Fall 2022 term, the Committee on Admissions at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science regrets to inform you that your application has not been approved. You will not be considered for any additional degree programs for the Fall 2022 term. Admission to Columbia Engineering is highly selective and we are unable to accommodate the full number of talented applicants who apply each year. The time and effort you spent in preparing your application and the interest you have demonstrated is very much appreciated. The Committee wishes you success in your future educational and professional endeavors.

2 years of work experience at FAANG, 1-year research at an Ivy, 3 A* publications.

MMath in CS (Coursework). Extremely frustrating how long this took.

Accepted to master of science in digital arts and sciences. Checked portal today and saw decision. No email. Did my undergrad in CS at UF.

Rejected, but offered admit to MSCS online as consolation.

Nothing surprising here. Was expecting a rejection, considering UTA already sent their admits a long time back.
