Off the waitlist!! I can't believe it!

they just now sent any notification LOL I'm going to IU anyways but damn would've sucked if I was waiting on them

Was expecting this after no communication from them since applying in Dec.

No interviews. Was expected. They just waited 4 months to give rejection.

Applied blindly

0a/2i/6r/0p. This is my second time applying to PhD programs and both times none of the programs I've applied to has made me an offer of admission. I'm planning to find a job outside of academia for the next year and apply a third and final time for the next application cycle.

Rejected after attending the interview, I found some satisfaction in the process, but the outcome was still a rejection. Reflecting on it, perhaps I could have prepared more thoroughly to better persuade the panelists.

Patents, publications, conferences, projects

Interviewed in late January, 3 conference publications, and I already have offers from other universities.

Interviewed in January and the professor already told me that he wouldn't have any openings this year weeks ago, it was expected. If you did not graduate from the USA or best universities, people are not so interested in investing in you and expect you to have your own funding for the first year, particularly for the top universities. I already have a good offer and accepted it. To whoever reading this: rejection is not all about you but the system, funding, and openings. Never let any rejection define you! We are living in a world where drop-outs rule. It's all about shaping your own ideas and making them true. Continue with people who believe in you, are willing to invest in you, and do great things! - Cheers xoxo

Waited for decades. Finally rejected.
