Had a prelim meeting in December. Got a rejection email from the PI.

Have not heard from grad committee but was emailed by PI

Got waitlisted a few days ago, then one of the PIs I listed in my application form contacted me to arrange an interview later. We discussed a bit via email first and later I got an email from the department saying my application has been recommended to graduate college for admission. Currently waiting to discuss more with my PI via zoom meeting.

I wrote two professors' names in my SOP. Both of them have taken my interview individually. UIUC has central admission, but I believe the professors' recommendations greatly mattered in my case.

Currently finishing up my MSc degree in Canada. Emailed the PI I mentioned in my SOP about 10 days ago. Got waitlist email yesterday afternoon, then PI reached out to me yesterday night. Setup my interview for today. Just finished interview and accepted a verbal offer. PI will now work on getting me admitted. LFGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the admit below to UIUC as well? Did anyone else get past interviews/ hear about the status?

Applied for research in gravitational physics. Graduating from a small liberal arts college in 3 years, with 2 years of research experience in the field at my home institution as well as an REU.

Ignore status, has anyone received info regarding admission results, someone here said they were rejected, I still haven't received anything! is anyone in the same scenario?
