emailed and askedl; was told over 500 applications for 28 spots

I have read from a poster below that all invitations had been made for the Neuroscience program at Harvard. I have asked to the PO what was the status of my application, and she told me it is still under review. Anyone else have any news on this?

3 summers and two semesters of research experience. Did an internship in HMD neurobio lab.

Not an official rejection, but I assume they sent out all invites already. 3 years undergraduate research in two HMS Neurobio labs, 1 year as a research tech post-grad. Letters from 3 well-known PIs. 3 in prep co-author publications. Average GPA and GRE- may have been the reason. Pretty bummed but they're very selective based on numbers so it was a reach regardless of extensive research.

Emailed the coordinator and she said all interview invites have been sent out.

Generic email to check the portal for a decision a month and a half after they held their interviews (and I didn't get one). Wonder what it could have said.......

Email to check website. Completely expected since I wasn't offered an interview.

Lol yeah kinda figured. No interview offered.

Knew I was rejected when I didn't get an interview invite December 14 - not surprised and it was never one of my top choices so it's fine.

Notes below are definitely true. I didn't hear anything from them and I called to confirm that they weren't going to email if you didn't get in. If you haven't received an email yet you aren't going to.

1.5 years RA (at Harvard), 5 years research experience total, 1 pub, 1 talk, 4 posters. No interview.
