Agreed. But this year they started early. Last year first wave of acceptances was rolled out on 15/16th March. This year it was 1st March. Plus second round usually has very few admits.

To the poster below wondering if UCLA is done doling out admits, I doubt it. I've come to know even last year they were reviewing till late march. So maybe we can expect admits later this month.

Has anyone contacted them? Are they done sending acceptances? It's been two weeks since they first rolled out acceptances.

UCLA has 2 decision rounds for MS applicants. The last wave is still pending, but will have very few admission offers. So, if you have a weak profile, don't be hopeful.

To the poster below : I'm sorry but I think what the poster below you reported is true. PhD admit decisions have already been made & people have already attended PhD Open House. What that person means is that MS admit decisions have also been made, but not all of the admitted applicants have been notified. But what I doubt is that a person on the admissions committee can't be aware when decisions will be posted by the clerical staff, but a committee member can only know whether decisions have been made. So, I guess this is the end of the road. Keep calm & brace yourself for rejects.

to the poster below, is it also true about master applicants? I called the department yesterday and they told me that they'll finish reviewing master applications by the end of march. and I asked if not receiving an admission till now means that I am rejected and he answered no, they are still not done! so I'm wondering if what you said is only about PHD or also master applicants!

I have a friend who is a PhD student in the committee this year and he told me all decisions have been made and over 3/4 results are sent out. So if you didn't receive it there is very little chance at this moment to get into the MS program this year.

To all UCLA applicants below, I am one of the admitted UCLA CS PhD students, and I have already attended UCLA's open house for CS PhD last Thursday, so if you haven't heard anything back yet, you can assume you're either waitlisted or rejected.

PSA: I contacted admissions due to silence (FAQ says PhD decisions by end of February). "Thank you for your continued interest in UCLA. Our faculty are still reviewing PhD applicants. We hope to finalize PhD admission decisions by March 20." Frustrating, but at least they're not rushing the process.

Was anyone admitted for the Network Systems track in MS Computer Science?

2 papers in area of interest, funding from another institution provided if I were accepted. I send an email asking for the status of my application, and they told me that I won't be offered an admission. 515 applicants, 28 seats available. Good luck to everybody!

Does anyone know about Computer Science PhD results? It seems the department is mostly gave Masters admissions, right?

Official letter would come in 2 weeks. "If you have academic work in progress, your admission is contingent on the receipt of a final transcript demonstrating that you have maintained the requirements for admission to UCLA and the Computer Science Department." Can someone please explain what they exactly mean by this ? Is there some minimum GPA they expect us to score in final year -- and cancel our admit if we don't score this ?
