Yeah so when I used my applicant email and password to login to "register" for open house it said registered and I was able to still get in even till right now.. I think it means nothing honestly I'm just so confused because I think the system already knows who is in or not it's automated so this probably means nothing! Praying for us all!

Hey hey! Let's be rational here. It looks like everyone is getting "Access Denied." Even the posters who previously wrote they were able to open the open house registration before are saying they are now getting access denied. I think the poster down below means he/she can see the open house description, not that he/she has the option to register. I don't think Columbia would make such a glaring technical error as to allow access to certain features of the site before they release their decision. We'll see (hopefully) tomorrow

I get access denied as well! While it makes me 'accept' the rejection decision gradually (and I don't even have high hopes..:(.. ), I still feel sick at the thought! It's okay, guys! We'll know tomorrow (hopefully). God knows how many applications they received and how they were feeling on those days...Even if it's rejection, we can't let anybody measure our skills. We'll get 'there' one day. If it's not through Columbia, then another path is waiting for us! *Just need to convince myself with these word* haha

Hey guys, so I am seeing all these open house comments and I used my application login and still am able to see the admitted to open house description every time I login.. What does that mean? Has it happened to anyone else?

I even didn't applied this program, I withdrew it when they told me that only one program can be applied...what I applied was Latin American & Caribbean Studies with concentration in Museum Studies, anyone has heard any news from the department? And what hell is the rejection....I already written to the department to ensure that they didn't make a mistake..

I don't know about you guys. But I have been refreshing this page and my emails all day long. Can't even enjoy my weekend. Every hour I get anxiety because I think they'll release decisions.

I'm still waiting, but I just received an invitation to attend the 4th Annual Marjorie Deane Lecture, which is a formal dinner hosted by the Carter Journalism Institute. Does anyone think that is a good sign or should I not read too much into it?

Oh wow. I have been waiting. Did you interview with Colleen as well? I'm a little nervous. I wish there was a way we could have direct conversation here smh.

Poster Below: I got my acceptance to CUNY Journalism School this year for the class of 2018 in an email from the admissions director Colleen Leigh exactly one month ago today on a Saturday evening. I got it right after I had my interview and took my test. But that doesn't mean they won't release more admissions soon -- I think it's totally arbitraty. I submitted my application around the beginning of January.

To the poster below. When did you get your CUNY letter? Are you talking about this year? Were you accepted to their program too? I'm waiting to hear from them as well

To the poster below, I was wondering the same thing as you. I wish we would, but I doubt it. I imagine it will be Monday. I guess we can never know, though. I mean, I got my letter from CUNY J-School on a Saturday evening, totally unexpectedly. Until then, I'll be refreshing my emails and this forum like a crazy person lol

Do any of you think we might hear from them over the weekend? From what I've been told, they send out automated emails.

I tried accessing the open house registration yesterday in the early morning and was able to do it. I tried again today and got access denied. So to the posters below, I feel your pain.

I was able to access the open house registration too and now I can't. It means nothing! They're probadly just sick of us snooping around for signs.
